File formats
What each app opens, saves and exports. To open a file: File › Open, drag it onto the window or, with the app installed, double-click it.
- Open
- The app opens it and you can edit it.
- Save
- Save keeps it in that same format, ready to keep editing.
- Export
- Creates a copy in that format from File › Export or Save As.
If you open a format the app doesn't save, Save creates a copy in its main format (DOCX, XLSX or PPTX) and your original file isn't touched.
AIM Docs
Main format: Text Document (.docx).

Password-protected documents open and are saved again with their password.
