Click “New note” and type. Start a list with “-”, a task with “[]” and a heading with “#”.

Your notes are stored in your browser and aren't sent to our servers, unless you turn on sync with your account.
Encrypted sync
Each note is encrypted in your browser (AES-256) with a key derived from your secret passphrase, which never reaches us. We only store the encrypted text, its size and its date: neither AIM nor anyone else can read your notes.
If you forget the passphrase
We can't recover the encrypted copy, but the notes on your devices aren't lost. Export your notes every now and then.

Do I need an account?
Not to use AIM Notes on your device. To have your notes on all your devices, yes: your free account.
How much can I keep in sync?
Up to 100 MB of encrypted notes with the Free plan and up to 1 GB with Pro.
Can you read my notes?
No. They're encrypted in your browser with a passphrase only you know. We only store the encrypted text.
Can I bring my notes from another app?
Yes, if you export them as ENEX, Markdown or text.
What happens if I forget the passphrase?
Nobody can recover the encrypted copy, not even us. The notes on your devices are still there, and you can start afresh with a new passphrase.
